Salutations, traveler of The Internets! Welcome to William's Bloody Hell, so named after our founder, Sir Bloody William.
He is seen in the likeness above in a rare, 19th century woodcut. This
image was rumoured to have been
commissioned after a bout of unpleasantness
in the White Chapel district of London. Do enjoy your stay and peruse our many, varied offerings, much of which cannot be found elsewhere!
:: Robin II: Joker's Wild by Chuck Dixon and Tom Lyle ::

Holy shit Batman!!!!
With a brand new female Robin currently leaping from rooftop to rooftop with
Batman, I'm gonna look back at what I consider the defining story for the last
Robin, Tim Drake. Back in 1991 fans got to see the new Robin alone only in
miniseries. The second series 'Robin II: The Joker's Wild' had Robin take on
Batman's worst enemy, the Joker, all on his own.
It's a cold winter in Gotham and Batman is currently on a mission in Rio. Robin
is left to look over the city with instructions not too take on anything to
tough for the new sidekick. However Robin one night answers the Bat-signal to
meet Commissioner Gordon tell him that the Joker has escaped Arkham Asylum.
Robin knows how dangerous the Joker is and with the help of Alfred must convince
the city that Batman is still in town, with the hope that the Joker will be a
less inclined to try anything foolish.
Upon escaping the Joker takes over Mr. Freeze's gang to help him kidnap a
computer dude that can help him take over the city by bringing it down with a
computer virus. Upon trying to stop the Joker from kidnapping computer guy, the
Joker sees Robin and loses his mind screaming "I KILLED YOU! I KILLED YOU!!"
(The Joker killed the last Robin, Jason Todd, and had not met Tim Drake) The
Joker notices the new costume, the fact that Tim is younger and realizes he's
dealing with a new Robin. Then he starts asking himself? Where's Batman? So our
young inexperienced hero, with trusty butler Alfred must figure out how to save
Gotham from Batman's most dangerous enemy without Batman himself!
Chuck Dixon wrote the story. He still wrote for some of the Bat-related titles
just 'til a few years ago. He's always been my favorite Bat-related scribes. Tom
Lyle brings great artwork to the dark wintery Gotham city. The man draws great
facial expressions. This was a great team that put together what I think is the
defining story of the 3rd Robin.
Fantastic story and artwork. A+
