Vicious Whisper. I blame my new Heart Shaped CD for this one. The CD is of course based on the Serenity Rose comic, and this is another character from that comic. This is Victoria, the lead singer to the band Vicious Whisper. I've been a fan of her character design, and decided to try one. I used the interview with "V" in Serenity Rose #2, along with Breehn John Burns's illustrations of Chrys in Gloom Cookie for reference. Burns had this way of making Chrys's pony tails look like bat wings in silhouette, which is what I really wanted to achieve here. I sort of combined "V"'s outfits to come up with this. The mic cord idea came from another piece Aaron A. did of Siouxsie Sioux. So, um, yeah, this one is sort of a mish mash of some others' ideas, but her pose and look are all mine. I didn't copy it outright from anything, and that makes me proud. I like it. Extra squishy thanks to the band the Birthday Massacre for additional inspiration!
