The Obligatory Trio Pic. Half-blood Prince just came out and I's gots the Harry Potter fever, I do, so here's my obligatory trio doodle to make sure they don't come and tear up my drooling fanboy card. This is just some miscellaneous fanart-age, as in it isn't indicative of any specific scene or occurrence in the books, it's just something I came up with and decided to run with it. Yeah, Ron's wand is broken and all so you may as well say this is Chamber of Secrets era, go right on ahead. I tried a little something different with my art style for this one, I'm not sure why, really, just had the mind to. I put a little more work into the detailings in this one than I have been of late, mainly because I didn't like the look of this pic as it was and tried to see if I could save it from a dismal death. I think it looks decent enough. You know, not spectacular or anything, but worth not throwing away. And yes, we have more of Williams Backgrounds For Dummies going there, but I think it works nicely. I particularly like how the lighting effect made it all look. Harry's glasses look a little off and I almost forgot to give them to him all together, if you can believe it. I like Harry and Hermione's hair. I'm torn on Ron. Sometimes I like how he looks and others I do not. I was trying for gangly and dorky, but perhaps I over did it. Their facial expressions didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. I was shooting for worried/scared/anxious and think I wound up with dull sadness. Meh.
