Commanding the Wind. It's X-men fan art, and Mohawk!Storm no less! I drew this simply because someone asked me to, and boy, was I ever pleased to get the request! I mean, I was just so happy to meet a someone else who remembered Storm from her mohawk days, how could I refuse? In case you don't remember, Storm donned the mohawk and leather in the early 1980s in a symbolic effort to free herself from her own constricting emotional control. I decided to "go back to my roots" as it were, as far as the illustrating style I used here and ink me some old school fashion leathers. It certainly was fun to draw more like I used to (re: more of a typical and standard comic book style), but doing leather that way gives me anxiety, and I had to "cheat" to do it, in that I swiped this pose from another character. I like it. I'm happy with how the background came out for once!
