Can't Get That High. I've drawn singers for my friends, but not for myself! This is Robert Smith of the Cure (my fave band of all-time) in an homage to the "High" video. Yeah this isn't exactly how things looked in that video (i.e., different clothes, the kite was larger, etc), but you get the basic idea, anyway. So no, this isn't happy-crucifixion-bondage-time Robert Smith, mmkay? Go watch the "High" video, then you'll get it. I think the likeness is pretty good for a cartoon-ide version, but Smith's likeness is one I am very familiar with from memory on account of me being a drooling fanboy and all. I penciled and inked Smith by hand, then created the kite and cloud background in Adobe, gave it a lens flare and diffused glow and viola. I like it!
