A Portrait of the Artist as a Gargoyle (Rough). Yes, it's more Gargoyle-type stuffs! The theme for The Monthly Gargoyles Art Contest December 2009 is "anything we want from any past themes" since this will be the LAST conest. Aww. The one I was most disappointed in missing was where you turn yourself into a Gargoyle, but when I got to thinking about it, it sounded pretty difficult. So, what I ended up doing was drawing on a childhood art-hero of mine, the American classic Norman Rockwell. His self portrait of looking at himself in the mirror while drawing was simply a classic fave. I added a Gagoyle-verse twist to mine, of course, by making the mirror Titania's mirror so that my reflection would look all Garg-i-fed. This is the basic lines of the pic here. I'm hoping to do some really fancy computer magic with this one, but I sincerely hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew here.
