Red Hot Riding Hood. Say hello to Tex Avery's legendary revamp of Little Red Riding Hood, RED HOT Riding Hood! The cartoon was so funny, the theater audience had the projectionist run it twice! So I was just thinking about how some of my all time favorite cartoons are by the master himself, Tex Avery, but none are as iconic as Miss Hood, and I decided to draw this picture since I had her on my mind and all. I think it came out cute enough. It's not really PERFECT, but then I don't anything I've ever done is. I was debating on how to color this one. I had thought of keeping the color "flat", meaning without any shadows or highlights, in order to give it the look of an animation cell. But, well, I thought her eyes looked rather "dead" without a shine in them, so I just went and shaded it. I'm rather glad I did. I think she looks lovely. I love her lips especially.
