On the Way to the Wedding,

I'm a big fan of the online comics and the artwork of
Rachel Nabors, aka
Rachel the Great. She is super talented. So, when I was reading her online
journal one day, and she had posted that her boyfriend had proposed and she said
yes, I was suddenly hit with the She Wants Revenge song "Written in Blood" in my
head and the darn thing wouldn't leave. Rachel, you see, is known for having
this new wave goth look going for her and I couldn't really see a traditional
and boring white wedding dress. So, I took her cartoon self and put her in this
silk and leather dress of my own design. Well, I got the neat little swirly
thingie on the dress from
PS Brushes.net,
something I don't usually do, but I was going for a particular look and was
having difficulty on my own, therefore, downloaded brush. I am quite happy with
how this turned out, I had big problems with colouring the skirt hang, but in
the end wound up having look even better than I'd hoped. I was going for a
modified butterfly motif, and you know, I'm actually not sure how well you can
tell that. The corset clasps, the earrings, the garter, the symmetrical swirly
design, these are all supposed to be butterfly-ish. Can you tell? Hm. Oh well.
