Quinn as Cherry.
Oh yeah, the Daria Alter Ego Series is in full swing! When I was drawing
my last one, Jodie as Mia Wallace, I
was suddenly struck with an epiphany that Quinn would make for an incredible
Cherry from the movie Planet Terror, and I was right! I think it's
because Quinn has a similar chin dimple as Rose McGowan. Let me just go
officially on record as to saying how much headache went into that gun leg, and
it STILL doesn't look as good as I'd hoped. Well, at least it doesn't suck as
much as I'd feared it might. Just don't look at it too closely or else you'll
start to notice how stubby the grenade launcher is, et cetera. Overall, I'm
pretty pleased with how well this one came together, other than unfortunately
being reduced to doing "flipper hands" once again. I really like her face, hair,
and boot. She definitely does look like Quinn and you can tell who she's
supposed to be playing (as if the gun leg didn't give it away). You've got two
versions here: original and beat to hell. I made a beat to hell version because
I'm trying to play at the ongoing "joke" to the whole Grindhouse thing of their
posters and film quality looking aged and as though they were passed around
without any regard to condition. Unfortunately, it was only after I went
through all the work of creating the beat to hell version that I realized I
forgot to give her the hoop earrings. Oops. Please forgive me.
