Forced Smile. Well, it's actor Conrad Veidt as Gwynplaine from the 1928 film The Man Who Laughs. I was just in the mood for another digital paint, is all. This is my take on the most famous image from the movie. I did something a little different with the hair. I usually just do loads of smudging for my hair effects, but this one I did scribbling instead using varying opacity on the brush. Came out with a neat result, huh? I've been told that my pic looks more like The Joker than Gwynplaine. Oh well.
