Fairytale Friends. Well, taking a break from the Tex Avery-ness things have been lately. This pic is a tribute to the classic 80s movie, Labyrinth! Jim Henson was a genius I tell you! I've loved this film for as far back as I can remember, only I just recently watched it for the first time in years. I was looking at some of the puppets and thought, you know, I bet they wouldn't be hard to draw... not hard at all, and, well, here you go. From left to right the characters are: Ludo, Hoggle, Sarah and Didymus. Sarah was by far the most difficult here to do because I had to make her look like a real person and not a cartoony muppet. Well, she looks enough like Jennifer Connelly to pass, I think. My favorite in this one is definitely how Hoggle turned out, but I do like most of the coloring on Ludo and Didymus's fur as well.
