Loved and Lost. This is another blend I made for Invisible Blends. This was my first one from scratch. The theme was Sadness, so naturallt, being the geek that I am, I turned to my Sandman comics. The three panels I used here are from the "Brief Lives" story are and the illustrations are by Jill Thompson. In case you can't read the word balloons, in the upper left it says "She..." and in the lower right "She has decided she no longer loves me." And in the middle we have an image of Dream standing out on his balcony in the rain. The way the two vertical panels poked out of the center one left me with some dead space around the edges, so I added in the Tennyson quote "Tis better to have lost..." since I thought it fit with the word balloons. I did all this in Corel Draw 8 then exported it to Adobe Photoshop 7, where I added in the spots (which are supposed to be leaves, by the way) floating around in the black edges. I liked this blend a lot, until I had to shrink it to conform to the maximum dimensions in the rules of the blend challenge.
