Number 22 (In the Mud Puddle). I file this one under "things that could only happen to me." One day, I was going to do some painting inside, it was raining out, and I inadvertently stepped into a deep sink hole, right outside my back steps! When you have one leg sunken up to the knee, it is pretty difficult to extricate, I don't know if you knew that. Little fact, there. Anyway, I manage to get my leg out, but OF COURSE my SHOE stays behind. Naturally. About this comic: That's a pretty good likeness of my back stoop, but very much simplified down to what I could throw together using basic shapes in Corel Draw. You'll notice little William ISN'T wearing black for the first time, this owing to the idea that he is going to paint and is thus wearing old clothes. This is the first time I've shown my kitchen in any sort of real detail, but I still kept it simple. I'm actually much taller than my refrigerator than that. Also, last minute text editing, there.
