Band Candy Giles and Joyce. This picture came about because I felt it was about time I draw a Giles one, but wasn't sure how to make it stand out. I mean, he was always wearing tweed! I had considered drawing him in his "Fear, Itself" Halloween costume with the sombrero and holding a chainsaw, but the chainsaw would have been difficult. The only other stand out Giles moment, as far as clothes and disposition go, was "Band Candy." So, I re-watched the episode, and realized, "hey I can get Joyce in on this as well!" I hadn't even considered doing one of Buffy's mom, but well here was a good place for a two-fer. I REALLY love how their faces both came out, too. Oh, and their hands, too. I hate drawing hands, but they came out well in this. The coloring of Joyce's hair is gorgeous, I think. Love the Juice Newton coat, there Joyce.
